Calvary Baptist Church is a strong congregation built on a solid theological foundation and has a rich history that has thrived over 128 years. Calvary is well-established under the 46-year strong and capable leadership of Rev. France A. Davis, who envisioned ministry at Calvary as the focal point of African American Christian faith in Utah. We actively participate in various local & global initiatives to serve God’s people and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are Committed to serving our Lord Jesus Christ as agents of change in the church through Church Empowerment Concepts: creative, strategic and intentional approaches to ministry and prepare future generations for evangelizing the world. We aim to empower people who have already become gifted and successful in ministry to see the importance of sharing their success strategies with the next generation to ensure their success in ministry has a successor for the future.
We continue building upon the close relationships between Calvary and the community where we could be the salt and the light (Matthew 5:13-16), particularly now, when people desperately need to hear of God’s vision and plan (Proverbs 29:18 & Jeremiah 29:11).
The Count Me In Campaign invites the members of Calvary Baptist to join together in the way Christ has called the Church to live.
