A Covid-19 Update

An important message from Pastor Moses

Calvary Baptist Church continues to be committed to the spiritual, physical, and mental health of the entire congregation. We continue to take every safety measure of precaution in response to the rising Covid-19 cases in Utah. This is an insistent matter that cannot be taken lightly, but with the utmost urgent response.

Calvary has done an exceptional job on following the requirements of the CDC community: wearing masks, social distancing, washing hands and cleaning and disinfecting the facility on a regular basis before and after any services held in the sanctuary.

The rise in Corona virus cases in Utah cannot be understated and with the approaching Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we must be overly cautious and to ensure overall safety, “social distancing” must be practiced. Therefore, Calvary will temporarily suspend all in-person worship services and activities effective today until further notice. Church office hours during the week will also be suspended. We will retrieve phone messages and the mail on a regular basis for your tithes and offerings. Meetings w/Pastor Moses will now be via ZOOM. You can schedule through Sis. Morris.

Although in-person gatherings are suspended again, we can remain connected. I urge you to participate in all virtual services that are currently available:  our daily prayer line, Tuesday evenings @7pm W.A.R. Bible Study on ZOOM and Sunday mornings Calvary Academy for Christian Development ZOOM Sunday school classes.

Our Sunday morning 11am worship services will continue to be live streamed every Sunday on YouTube.

Thanksgiving Morning Worship Services will be live streamed on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at 10am.

During this time of testing, I would encourage each household, each family to establish consistent prayer within the home. I further encourage each family to meditate on Psalm 127. Let us continue to pray with other Christians globally that God will speedily heal the land.

Because of Him!

Dr. Oscar T. Moses, Pastor
