We are providing information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and what you can do to stay healthy and keep others healthy. We understand that this conversation has been all over the news and that can instill fear in the best of us. We want to encourage you to not be fearful, but rather to be aware and remain prayerful.

Let us walk with both faith and wisdom. We use tools and precautions to prepare, but don’t operate out of fear and anxiety. We want to encourage you with a few simple things you can keep doing to try to stay healthy!

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

  • If you are experiencing any flu like systems (fever, coughing, sore throat, runny nose, etc…) we encourage you to stay home, though you will be missed.
  • Wash hands regularly
  • Avoid shaking hands
  • Avoid touching mouth, nose and eyes

WHAT IS CALVARY DOING?

  • Contact With Others – As much as we sometimes encourage everyone to grab your neighbor by the hand you noticed last week, it was recommended not to. For a season we are going to discontinue this practice as an extra-precaution to avoid the spread of sickness. We know you’re sad, but don’t worry, it’ll be back!
  • Clean Surfaces and Toys – every week we sanitize toys actively used  by the kids. We will continue doing this and cleaning all surfaces, we encourage you to carry hand sanitizer with you , and feel free as to sanitize your hands throughout the day.
    • We ask that you will partner with us by not bringing any children with the following symptoms to church gatherings and activities until they are healthy:
      • A fever of 100 or higher (taken under the arm) or 101 taken orally in the last 24 hours
      • Must not have had fever reducing medication within the last 24 hours
      • Diarrhea (more than twice in a 24hr period)
      • Rash with fever
      • Cold sores
      • Sore throat
      • Eye discharge (thick mucus or pus draining from the eye)
      • Vomiting
      • Severe cough
  • It’s always a priority to provide the safest, healthiest and most amazing experience for our  church family and our guests. It’s a priority to us to keep in tune with what is happening and how this is progressing. Should we need take further measures , we will do our best to communicate that as quickly as possible.

If there is anything else you’d like to know about the virus, we encourage you to make sure your main source of information comes from the CDC website, where they are disseminating information and the severity. You can go HERE to find out more! Also, click here for information from the Utah State Government.

We are praying for all those who’ve been affected by this disease and praying God’s blessings of healing for everyone’s health. It is also our prayer  that you feel at peace too, as we work through things that we don’t have confidence in. We know that our confidence comes from God and God alone, and pray that you can just sense that as we move forward into the great things He has for us as people and His church!

2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Our confidence is in HIM.
