GUIDING PRINCIPLE: 

Wherever there is more than one, there will be human turmoil that make you weary and purposeless.  God is our only way back on track when we reconnect with his spiritual mission with renewed vigor.

To consider how Jacob encountered God in spite of his situation.

To affirm that God’s strength is manifested in human weakness.

To make room in our lives for times of spiritual retreat.

  1. Encountering God On The Run (Genesis 28: 10-11)
  2. Jacob was on the run toward Beersheba and Haran.
  3. Night came and he camped out.
  4. His pillows were stones and he slept on them.
  5. A Life Altering Dream (Genesis 28: 12-15)
  6. Jacob dreamed a dream of a ladder.
  7. The Ladder rested on the ground and reached to heaven.
  8. God stood above the ladder.
  9. God promised Jacob His presence and protection.
  10. Awakened to a New Life In God The Father (Genesis 28: 16-19)

When God is with you, you should throw yourself before God for His mercy.  God will be with you and will help you.  To experience the power of God, you must spend time with Him alone.

Even when on the run, we can have an encounter with God.

Expect special things to happen during the night time.

Dreams are to be taken seriously.

When God works in our lives we ought to respond with praise and worship.

God’s promises are sure to come to pass sooner or later.

Believers ought to throw themselves on the mercy of God.

God loves us and is slow to anger but quick to be merciful.

The love of god endures to all generations.

WE must live in hope no matter what we have done.

The promises of God will come to pass when God’s time is right.
