Matthew 7:7-8 ASV
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Father I come to You this day looking to You for answers that only You can give! With burdens that only You can lift! With obstacles that only You can move! Standing before closed doors that only You can open! And needing deliverance from things that only Your hand can deliver me from! This day I look to You in ways that I never thought possible! Faith and trust sustains me for I believe beyond belief that You will not fail me!
Lord I seek Your heart and mind concerning me! Not to stray from the path before me! I understand how trials will produce endurance, endurance character, and character hope, my God! I understand things come along to make me stronger, stronger in You my Lord, for I find that’s truly where I get the strength to continue on!
Lord this day as I move forward, I ask that You regulate this here mind! Soothe this here tormented soul! Calm this heart, healing the raw places! I ask that You give the ears to hear! The mind to understand! The direction to follow! And strength to stand!
I ask on this here day that You continue to rub out the rough patches! To perfect that within lil ole me! To cultivate these gifts to be used to the fullest! Help me oh God to be that mighty child that You’ve destined me to be! And I understand that there are no short cuts with You!
I ask that You cover and smother me! Protect me oh God like You did Daniel in the Lions’ den! Like the 3 Hebrew boys, may the Messiah be in the furnace with me and I come out looking better than ever! May my enemies and problems be no more like You did the Egyptians in the Red Sea! May You give me what I need to slay my Goliath! And the strength, courage, mindset and endurance like Paul to fight the good fight of faith!
Lord I bless You this day! I magnify Your most holy name! I surrender myself and thank You in advance for doing what You do with, to, in, and through me! It’s this here that I do pray, believe and decree in the mighty and matchless name of Christ Jesus! And it is so! Amen! Amen! Glory hallelujah! And amen!

Notes on Prayer
Prayer is the appointed means for obtaining what we need. Pray; pray often; make a business of prayer, and be serious and earnest in it. Ask, as a beggar asks alms. Ask, as a traveller asks the way. Seek, as for a thing of value that we have lost; or as the merchantman that seeks goodly pearls. Knock, as he that desires to enter into the house knocks at the door. Sin has shut and barred the door against us; by prayer we knock. Whatever you pray for, according to the promise, shall be given you, if God see it fit for you, and what would you have more? This is made to apply to all that pray aright; every one that asketh receiveth, whether Jew or Gentile, young or old, rich or poor, high or low, master or servant, learned or unlearned, all are alike welcome to the throne of grace, if they come in faith. It is explained by a comparison taken from earthly parents, and their readiness to give their children what they ask. Parents are often foolishly fond, but God is all-wise; he knows what we need, what we desire, and what is fit for us. Let us never suppose our heavenly Father would bid us pray, and then refuse to hear, or give us what would be hurtful.
